Danville Police Department to Host Annual Youth Engagement Talent Show | Lifestyles

The Danville Police Department will host its fourth annual Youth Engagement Talent Show at 5:30 p.m. on November 18 in the multi-purpose room of the new police department headquarters located at 1 Community Way in Danville, Virginia.

Students aged K-12 will be eligible to enter this competition.

A pre-audition to ensure contestants meet the talent show requirements requires a 10-15 second sample of their act or talent in front of a Danville Police Department officer. Any officer can witness the talent/deed. It can be an officer on the street, in a school or coming to the police headquarters.

After the brief hearing, a the form must be completed by the agent or participant to register for the final audition. The deadline to audition before an officer is October 31.

After the pre-audition, the young people will audition in front of judges. The top candidates will perform on the November 18 show. The date and time of the final audition will be communicated later to the participants. Grand prizes include PS5, iPad, Nintendo Switch and cash prizes for first, second and third place winners in each age group.
