Director of Engagement | National Youth Orchestras of Scotland

The National Youth Orchestras of Scotland (NYOS) seeks to appoint a Engagement Director. This is a new role designed to help embed inclusive practice at the heart of our work and expand and diversify our membership and program, creating positive, sustainable and inclusive opportunities for a wide range of young musicians to perform. their role in the NYOS community and thrive through group music creation. The Director of Engagement will be essential in supporting NYOS during a period of development and will contribute to the development and implementation of a new five-year strategic plan.

You will be a confident, forward-thinking leader with experience producing and evaluating creative programs. You will be passionate about creating spaces for young people to thrive, comfortable with reflective practice and eager to learn as we develop new ways of working. As a team player, you will have a track record of working in collaborative partnership and of enthusiasm and commitment to the music of young people from all cultures.
