Eritrea participates in the session of the International Civil Aviation Organization

Eritrea is participating in the 41st session of the International Civil Aviation Organization which is taking place in Montreal, Canada from September 27 to October 7.

At the session, Eritrea is represented by Mr. Paulos Kahsai, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Eritrea, and Mr. Samuel Okbu, Head of Consular Affairs of Eritrea in Canada.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Paulos Kahsai indicated that ensuring safety and security are inseparable parts of the aviation sector, said that Eritrea, by all aviation standards, has ensured safety and security and that since the definition of its airspace in February 2000, no accident has been recorded. for which Eritrea is responsible.

Pointing out that there are fakes or defamations to hide the truth by politicizing the aviation issue, Paulos said the International Civil Aviation Organization has a moral responsibility to condemn the double standard.

Mr. Paulos also said that Eritrea, in accordance with its integrated socio-economic strategy, has built with its internal capacity an airport in the port city of Massawa which meets the international standard, and the airport of Asmara has been developed by putting in place the required infrastructure. and provides efficient and prompt service.

Paulos also said that the Eritrea Aviation Training Center, which received a letter of recognition from the international organization for meeting the required standard, contributes to the development of human resources.

The Eritrean delegation also held discussions with various officials of the International Civil Aviation Organization focusing on mitigating existing challenges and developing Eritrean aviation.
