Genesis Express Hosts First Wildcat Village Pledge Event

As construction continues at the Genesis Express Intergeneration Center on Jefferson Street, the nonprofit’s outreach continues as they continually build their youth programs in Trigg County.

Club member George Radford said Genesis Express is hosting the first Wildcat Village Engagement Sports-O-Rama this weekend at Wildcat Gym in Trigg County. However, this awareness program is not for children. It’s for their parents, grandparents, loved ones, mentors and anyone else with a positive influence.

click to download audioRadford said Genesis Express programs are aimed at youth in the community. However, they want to involve parents and guardians so that the progress made through their programs continues to soar with the children.

click to download audioThe Wildcat Village Engagement Sports-O-Rama will begin Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Wildcat Gym with a second program on Saturday morning from 10-12 p.m.

As for the intergenerational center’s progress, Radford said some pretty significant milestones are being reached.
