Limited, DAILY TRUST Editors, Ahmed I. Shekarau.
According to Mr. Mojeed, the facility is not just critical for Kano State but for Northern Nigeria as a whole, especially at a time when the quality of manpower available in the field of journalism is very weak.
“By investing in this facility you are trying to solve the problem and it is commendable to guide young people and empower them to learn digital skills,” Mr Mojeed said in his brief remarks after the tour.
According to him, the center is a very unique facility for Kano, the youth, Nigeria and humanity in general.
“We are proud of what you are doing, we hope that the people trained here will know the ethics of journalism very well, and refrain from spreading false information, blackmailing and just doing things professionals in the work,” he said.
While assuring IPI’s support and partnership with the Center in the near future, Mr. Mojeed assured that IPI will visit the Center again to encourage and offer necessary assistance.
In his response, the Managing Director of Image Merchants Promotions Limited (IMPR), Yushau A. Shuaib, appreciated the team for finding time to visit and encourage young people at PRNigeria Center Kano.
