Kansas FFA launches statewide community engagement meetings

The Kansas FFA Foundation is launching Community Engagement Sessions in North Central Kansas.

Meetings will be held in April and other areas of Kansas will follow. Representatives from the Kansas FFA Foundation, FFA members, FFA officers and local supporters will share important information. the Our Youth. Our future. Our Kansas FFA The presentation will discuss exciting developments for the future of agricultural education throughout Kansas.

“Through a statewide feasibility study, we gained a greater understanding that people who believe in agricultural education and FFA wanted the opportunity to learn more about the program,” said said Beth Gaines, executive director of the Kansas FFA Foundation. “We take this opportunity to travel across the state to share some of the exciting developments and some of the real challenges that lie ahead as we strategically plan for our future.”

Meeting topics will include historical information, future direction, impact on Kansas agriculture, FFA funding and an opportunity to ask questions. The presentation will last approximately one hour.

The presentation will be offered at various locations in the region. The schedule is as follows:

Saline – Tuesday, Salina Public Library, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Abilene – April 11, Sterl room, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Minneapolis – April 12, Minneapolis High School, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Ellsworth – April 13, EHS Commons, 7 p.m.

clay center – April 20, Fairgrounds Conference Center, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Washington – April 26, KSDS East Training Center, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Courtland – April 27, JenRus Coworking, 3:30 p.m.

Beautiful city – April 27, high school common area, 7 p.m.
