Islamabad: In order to facilitate Google Cloud training for NUST students and industry leaders and professionals from various fields, NUST Professional Development Center (PDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with TechValley on NUST main campus here Monday.
The agreement was signed by NUST’s research, innovation and commercialization pro-rector, Dr Rizwan Riaz, and TechValley’s CEO, Umar Farooq.
NUST Rector Engr Javed Mahmood Bukhari also graced the ceremony with his presence, while Google Managed Service Provider Chief Sean Lim joined the session via a video link. Later, Federal Science and Technology Minister Shibli Faraz also had an online meeting with teams from TechValley, Google and NUST PDC, and congratulated NUST and TechValley on signing the MoU, adding that it was a step forward towards Digital Pakistan.
As part of the MoU, NUST PDC and TechValley will work jointly to design and deliver the latest Google Cloud technologies in NUST labs and provide training through NUST PDC to use cloud technologies for the use of AI and data analysis. The training programs will be based on a series of workshops and will have Google Certified trainers with industry experience.
