WAUKOMIS, OK – Polka Dot Pig Folk Art is a little whimsical and a little weird. Each creation is handcrafted with love and soul for the young at heart. Julie Miller loves to sew and create her whimsical and sometimes weird creatures. She loves to take a piece of fabric and stuffed animals and turn them into something she hopes to cherish for a very long time. She is inspired by all things vintage and fairy tales.
Miller designs and creates everything that is sold in its store, online and in marketplaces. Handmade is his passion. Most of the fabrics are new but sometimes she gets lucky and finds vintage fabrics and amazing faux furs. She also loves adding vintage finds! Miller NEVER cuts stuffed animals and ALL of his creatures are made from scratch.
Julie Miller is a self-taught folk artist who works from her studio in downtown Elk City, Oklahoma. She creates whimsical art from fabric, paint and other mediums with her corgi, Otis, by her side. When she’s not in her shop creating, you can find her (and Otis) traveling across the United States to markets and art fairs. You can find out more at polkadotpigfolkart.com and follow their adventures on Facebook (Polka Dot Pig Folk Art) and Instagram (@polkadotpigfolkart).
