Taylorville Kiwanis accepting grant applications for nonprofits

We remind nonprofit organizations in the Taylorville area that the Kiwanis Club of Taylorville is now accepting applications for funding from local nonprofit organizations that benefit children and youth in the Taylorville community.

The club already funds high school and YMCA scholarships each year, but often other funding requests come to the Kiwanis Board of Directors at different times of the year.

This effort involves asking these organizations and events to formally apply for funding. Any request should be centered on how children and young people in the area will benefit.

This is the second year in a row that the club has accepted grant applications from other Taylorville nonprofit organizations that have a mission similar to that of the Kiwanis club, to benefit local youth.

The app is available by going to taylorvillekiwanis-dot-com and finding this story. The deadline for receipt of applications is September 30.

The Taylorville Kiwanis Club is part of a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time. Weekly meetings are held Tuesdays at noon at the Taylorville Moose Lodge. For more information about the club, visit taylorvillekiwanis.com.
