‘The Mandalorian’ Editor-in-Chief Jeff Seibenick Joins Manhattan Publishing Shop as Next Artist-in-Residence

MEWShop’s Intensive Six-Week Art of Publishing Workshop Begins Online and In-Person September 12

NEW YORK, NY, USA, August 15, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Manhattan Publishing Workshop (MEW Shop), the leading online digital training destination for post-production specialists and content creators is proud to announce that the next artist-in-residence for the September 12 class will be a two-time Emmy nominee Jeff Seibenick.

Jeff Seibenick started making movies at an early age, since he could afford his first VHS video camera, he started making movies with his high school friends on weekends and summers, many of whom ended up in the local video store. He was in the second class to graduate from the new film school at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts majoring in directing and editing.

After moving to Los Angeles in 2001, Seibenick found some minor success in the music video industry before being asked by college friend Jody Hill and former roommate Danny McBride to edit their first film, “The Foot Fist Way”.
This opened the door to more comedy editing when he got his first television job on “The Sarah Silverman Program.” A few years later, his college buddies came back calling to help out on their first HBO show “Eastbound and Down.” From there, Jeff was able to put his editing skills to good use in more TV comedies and independent feature films like “Flower” and “Legacy of the Whitetail Deer Hunter.”

Soon after, he found himself editing the pilot for “Young Sheldon” with director Jon Favreau. After a short chat one day about their love for ‘Star Wars’ Jeff told Jon that if he was ever going to do anything ‘Star Wars’ look no further for a publisher and sure enough when it was announced that Jon would direct “The Mandalorian” for Disney+. Jeff emailed her and the rest is history. A huge childhood dream has come true, Jeff has been part of the “Star Wars” universe ever since.
