Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas will be offering training throughout October

Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas is offering a variety of free services throughout the month of October to help individuals find jobs “or get on the path to a sustainable career” and help businesses thrive.

Services available include pop-up labor centers, childcare assistance, workshops and e-learning, according to a news release.

Online learning includes free access to over 6,000 online courses “to build skills and knowledge” through SkillUp Deep East Texas.

“SkillUp Deep East Texas is a cost-effective opportunity for individuals to develop certificate-based job skills and improve their existing skill levels without additional travel, childcare, and program fees,” says the communicated. “Attendees receive digital badges or certificates as they complete each training session. The free workshops are offered on a variety of topics, including resumes, interviews, WorkInTexas.com, and helping ex-offenders find jobs.

“Parents who are working or attending school may be eligible for assistance with their childcare costs,” the statement said.

Pop-up Labor Centers will be located throughout East Texas throughout the month.

“To bring services closer to residents of rural communities, Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas partners with local organizations and offers pop-up centers,” the statement said. “Individuals have access to useful tools to find a job, improve their skills and pursue or change careers.”
