Under the theme “Our planet. Our health. celebration of World Health Day on April 7, 2022 challenges us to reinvent our world for a healthier future. Given the realities of climate change and its threat to human health, mitigation and adaptation actions are urgently needed to protect life and preserve the planet. Every sector has a role to play in creating a healthier world by promoting healthier lifestyles and taking strategic action to create the conditions for people to thrive.
Using the One Health approach, the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Department of Planning and Environmental Protection, the Pan American Health/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), and the University of the Bahamas will hold a film competition for high school and college students to raise awareness of the links between climate change and health and to encourage youth advocacy and leadership in this area.

The Best Films premiere screening and selection of the winning films will take place at the University of the Bahamas and will be streamed live via Zoom on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Building details will be shared in a later communication.
